Microsite Centers of Excellence

A Microsite Center of Excellence (MCE) is a transplant center that has demonstrated a strong commitment to helping patients find living donors through the National Kidney Registry’s Microsite Program.

MCEs have proven experience using microsites to help patients share their stories, reach more potential donors, and turn donor interest into living donations. Choosing an MCE means working with a center that has the experience and resources to help you make the most of your microsite.

What Makes a Center a Microsite Center of Excellence?

MCEs meet established criteria demonstrating their experience and success with the Microsite Program, including:

• 20% or more of waitlisted patients enrolled in microsites
• A 5% or higher microsite donor conversion rate
• At least 10 living donor transplants facilitated through microsites in the past 12 months
