Microsite Centers of Excellence
The Microsite Center of Excellence (MCE) program was created to establish a set of best practices for microsite use, provide training resources to help transplant centers optimize microsite use, and improve donor recruitment and patient outcomes.
Why Become a Microsite Center of Excellence?
Becoming a MCE helps centers receive more patient referrals. Centers designated as MCEs will be prominently displayed at the top of the patient registration page on the National Kidney Registry website, increasing patient referrals and driving more living donor transplants.
How to Qualify as a Microsite Center of Excellence
To qualify for the MCE program, a center must have:
- 20%+ waitlist enrollment in microsites
- 5%+ microsite donor conversion rate (referral to donation)
- 10+ microsite living donor transplants in the last 12 months
