The National Kidney Registry (NKR) is pleased to welcome its newest microsite center: Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey. A total of 65 transplant centers nationwide now participate in the NKR’s Microsite Program.
The Microsite Program provides free websites and coaching to transplant patients seeking a living donor to increase their chances of achieving a living donor transplant. To date, more than 1,449 microsite patients have received a living donor transplant.
“Microsites have become an invaluable tool for people searching for a living kidney donor,” said Timothy Jagemann, NKR Director of Marketing and Microsite Product Manager. “Finding a living donor often starts with sharing your story. A personalized microsite gives patients a simple, effective way to explain their need for a kidney transplant and reach thousands of potential supporters through a unique URL, along with free business cards and posters that make it easy to spread the word.”
The Microsite Program is supported by six donor search coaches who are available to all patients who activate a microsite. Donor search coaches are experts at running successful donor search campaigns, either for themselves or someone else.
