The Donor Games Launches the Renal Warrior Challenge, a Free Virtual Event Supporting Individuals Living with Kidney Disease

The Donor Games, in collaboration with Wilson Du, the “Renal Warrior,” are launching the inaugural Renal Warrior Challenge—a free, virtual event designed to support, recognize, and celebrate individuals living with kidney disease.

The event will be held August 10–23, with registration open now through August 9.

Created as an inclusive and accessible experience, the Renal Warrior Challenge encourages participants to engage in safe, sustainable movement in whatever form is possible for them—whether that is a short walk, light strength training, stretching, or simply showing up and participating in their own way. Participants simply record themselves and upload a video using the Donor Games app.

“The Donor Games is about more than competition—it is about community,” said Mimi Mahon, Director of the Donor Games. “The Renal Warrior Challenge is designed to encourage and support kidney patients and remind them that they are not alone.”

“This challenge was created to honor the effort, resilience, and everyday accomplishments of those undergoing dialysis, waiting for transplant, or managing kidney disease every day,” said Wilson Du. “It’s about showing up in whatever way you can and knowing that effort alone makes you a warrior.”

All participants who submit a video will receive a free Choose Donation T-shirt.
